Education:

• High School for Mathematics and Physics no. 3 (now Báthory), Cluj, 1975-1979.
• B.S. in Electrotechnical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute (now Technical University) of Cluj, 1980-1985. Graduating thesis: Parameter Estimation of a Variable Reluctance Rotating Electrical Machine by Means of Numeric Field Computation.
• Ph.D. in Electrical Machines, Apparatus and Drives from Technical University of Cluj , 1995. Ph.D. thesis title : Computer Aided Design of a Variable Reluctance and Permanent Magnet Linear Motor. Supervisor: prof. Ioan-Adrian Viorel
